Started since Monday May 09, 2022, the 15th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention on the Fight against Desertification and Drought (COP 15) is in full swing and saw the participation of the ONEP Director General, Mr. Ibrahiman Berte on Wednesday May 11, 2022.
A presence that reflects the interest that the ONEP gives in this world meeting with regard to the narrowness of the subject of COP 15 with questions related to water. Talking about desertification, implies talking about drought that inevitably highlights the problems related to water resources.
Abidjan's meeting which is held from 09 to 20 May 2022, on the theme: "Earth, life, heritage of a precarious world towards a prosperous future", touches human existence, since it is related with several activity sectors. This COP 15 will be an opportunity for Côte d'Ivoire to present its ambitions to the donors present, in order to bring together the funding which will make it possible to implement, not only the new forest policy, but also the other areas.
On the sidelines of these themes immediately addressed at the top of heads of state, the youth forum and the women's focus were platforms devoted to specific issues attached to certain projects.
